Marijuana has been used as a herbal remedy for years, however it was only recently that Marijuana and Cancer became a topic to even discuss.

The two best-studied components are the chemicals delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (often referred to as THC), and cannabidiol (CBD). Other cannabinoids are being studied.
Even though the general mentality concerning Marijuana has recently severely improved, marijuana is still considered to be a drug which makes research and clinical trials impossible for cancer patients who are looking to medicate with marijuana.

Apart from the fact that marijuana has been found to be extremely beneficial when it comes to dealing with nausea, eating disorders, anxiety and depression, There are studies showing that Marijuana does kill cancer cells and prevent their duplication of them from preventing cancer. to spread throughout the body.
Is there enough research proving this? The plain answer is no, research regarding the positive effects of Marijuana on the body does not get approved so often.
In my opinion, in the near future, it may be found that it may even be an efficient substitute for chemotherapy. I am no doctor but let me explain to you.

Humans were accidentally exposed to mustard gas during the bombardment of the Italian town of Bari on December 2, 1943. The SS John Harvey, a Liberty ship which was stationed on Italy’s Bari harbour had a stockpile of 100 tons of mustard gas. As a result of the bombardments of that night, seventeen ships sank, including the SS John Harvey thus emitting the stockpile of mustard gas. Nobody aboard the SS John Harvey survived and as a consequence, the townspeople of Bari did not know they were under mustard gas intoxication. In the days and weeks following this catastrophe, the other military and civilian victims from the accident began to develop familiar signs of mustard gas exposure. Lieutenant Colonel Stewart F Alexander, an American physician trained in chemical warfare confirmed the exposure to mustard gas, based on autopsies of the victims that had profound medullar damage, particularly a low white blood cell count.
White blood cells are capable of rapidly dividing which prompted the attention that this chemical agent could be useful in killing rapidly dividing cancer cells as well. As a consequence, the event at Bari enhanced the suspicion that the effect of mustard gas on blood cells could have a medical use.

Apart From Killing Cancer cells, Chemotherapy also kills other cells such as Bone Marrow cells, Hair follicle cells etc. This is the effect of highly developed mustard gas on the body.
Research shows that Marijuana kills cancer cells without killing the other cells. Giving it the potential to be even more efficient than chemotherapy itself. Again, studies have to be done and it still has to be proved but in my opinion, if we gave a chance to mustard gas, why not weed?

People may question the long-term brain damage, and with reason this may cause for the child undergoing the treatment, however, these kids do not really know whether they are going to make it to next year, so if you do not really if you are not going to make it to next year, would you really reject an imminent solution for what might happen in 10 years time?
